Library Pod
This is where you check in as a visitor, the de facto face of the school. Lidia (pictured) is its functioning heart. Her workspace was intended to be a librarian's desk only and has become overwhelmed by the accoutrements of running a school full-time. Not only this, but two additional staff members will need to share this space come fall. That it needs to be replaced is a no-brainer. What makes it possible is: (1) pro bono design and installation, (2) a cost-effective cabinet maker, and (3) the fact that the demolition of existing fixtures is paid for and performed by the school district. This is the art of getting shit done.
